The Archaeological Mining Park of San Silvestro

The San Silvestro Archaeological Mining Park is a journey that begins with a visit to the Museum of Aerology and Minerals, continuing in the tunnels of the Temperino Mine, to learn about the underground world and the evolution of mineral extraction techniques.
Outside the mine, the route continues to Earle’s Shaft where more recent mining history is told through displays. You then get on the mine train to travel the route of the minerals.
The remains of the medieval castle of Rocca San Silvestro form the backdrop to the valley of the park.
